What was the Highlight of the 2025 Session?
Oregon’s 2025 long legislative session was one of the most challenging in recent memory – made even more difficult due to the onslaught of threats coming down from the federal government. Despite our hard work, there are not as many policy wins to celebrate as we’d like. But one thing worth celebrating is that YOU, our volunteers, showed up! In addition to OLCV’s Lobby Day (the first held in person since 2019!), our team also played a major role in the Building Resilience Lobby Day and the Move Oregon Forward Advocacy Day. Each of these events drew in 100 advocates from across the state. Across those three events, we held 141 meetings with state lawmakers, demonstrating the strength of our movement. You sent over 9,000 emails to lawmakers’ offices urging them to do right by our environment. Many of you testified for our priority bills and the state budget, attended town halls, and wrote LTEs to show strong support for climate action. We heard you, we appreciate you, and we’re with you all the way. THANK YOU!
